News: Teaching Workshop in St. John’sOctober 5, 2006
I’ll be teaching a “Master Class” in poetry for the Writers’ Alliance of Newfoundland and Labrador at their AGM in St. John’s on Oct 21. Space is limited and almost full, so if you’re around and interested, please sign up soon. There are also some other interesting meetings going on.
WANL’s 2006 AGM will be held at the Masonic Temple, St John’s, Oct 20 – 22. Poet and novelist Olive Senior will be reading on Oct 20, followed by a WANL get-together and social.
Writing workshops offered on Saturday, Oct 21 include: “Master Class in Poetry” with George Murray; “Writing Effective Dialogue” with Ed Kavanagh; “Writing Safe: Ergonomics for Writers” with Jill Seviour, PT; “Fiction Workshop: Interrogating the Picture” with Olive Senior; “Do You Have a Story to Tell?” with Degan Davis; “The Butler Did It: The Art of the Murder Mystery” with JoAnne Soper-Cook; and “Creative Writing Workshop for Youth” with Kevin Hehir (FREE)…
All members should have received a registration form by mail. Please keep in mind that participation in some workshops is limited and many have started to fill.
